Some Exped tent deals. My experience is that they make very good tents.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Anyone seen any offers on an Edge 1030 (not 1030plus, too expensive) as I need the charge ports on the mount for their auxiliary battery pack, looked at the 830 but the screen is too small for proper map reading. My Explore which I charge through the USB port has broken, I know I can return for a refurbed model but I need it in 3 weeks.

Could be tempted, where from and how does a 60 year old living in Spain get an NUS/Totem discount?

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Hmm that may be a problem! (It’s via the Garmin website)
Does this look right on amazon for £390?

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
There are a few Spanish sites selling for €399, Wiggle/CRC had them for £300 earlier in the year, should have jumped then. Thinking that the 1030 plus with the faster processor might have made the 1030 less attractive.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Bugger, that would have been a game changer when shopping for a new base layer earlier in the week for this weekend. Instead I've ordered one from a local-ish bike shop that hasn't arrived

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Can you tell me more about this light? It looks interesting but there isn't enough detail on the listing for me. It says "Powered by either a disposable or rechargeable CR123 battery" does this mean that you have to buy the battery separately? Do you have to charge the battery out of the light?

If you buy the front and rear kit you get a pair of re-chargeable batteries and the charger. If you buy the individual lights you get a disposable battery with them. To be honest I'd avoid these and try and spring for the Trace and Trace R. I've had loads of bother with the charger and batteries for the flashes. I think I'm on my third and it only works via a USB connection, not the mains..... The lights themselves are good but they are susceptible to water ingress when switched off as you turn them on and off by screwing the head in and out so when off and slightly unscrewed the O ring isn't seated hence water getting in. In mine the spring inside corroded where it touches the alloy case and took a lot of fiddling to get working again. I still use them for back up but the Traces are far better and have the daybright mode which is ace.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I bought a flash and flare set a few weeks ago and it was the set with the disposable batteries and no charger

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Ok thanks for that. I will give these a miss then. We use Moon lights mostly but thought these might be worth a punt. Will stick to what we have.htrider wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 2:43 pmAlright BBorderer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 1:57 pmCan you tell me more about this light?
