I've got a small headtorch that i take bikepacking
Unfortunately no good enough for riding with and cannot be attached to the bars
can anyone suggest something that i can use around camp and also for get you back from the pub slowly duties. I'd prefer it it took a single AA battery as these are readily avaiable

Re: Headlight / torch recommendation
I use Fenix LD20 with a 2Fish handlebar mount for on the bike (and a 2nd one on the helmet if needed) and then around camp I use a Niteize headband to turn it into a head torch.
Single AA Fenix are available...the LD12 looks a killer little light: http://www.fenixtorch.co.uk/led_torches/fenix-ld12.html
Also worth looking at is the diffuser wand which turns it into a lantern...even if it does look like a ladies bedroom accessory

There is many bright hand torches that use AA's. from big brands like fenix and others to dealextreme or ebay specials, many of which are pretty good too.
You can get rubber and Velcro connectors to stick it on your bars or helmet if needed as well. I think fenix sell a headband that you can clip one on to which may be worth a look.

Fenix MC10 or MC11 works for me. Runs on a single AA and plenty of light.

May the bridges you burn light your way

I've got a couple of these - for £2.83 they are hard to beat and take a single AA battery.
