Quite like the sound of VBAM, but MuddyPete has decided we're the Backyard Boners.

Re: Virtual BAM ... you know you want to
What about a MasterChef competition?
The obvious hurdle we need to get over is judging taste. I suggest each competitor has to describe the meal to voice over standard, and everyone else decides how good it tasted based purely on the description.
I'm sure we could cook up some bikepacking restrictive kitchen based cooking challenges?
It is ridiculous, but so is sleeping in your back garden on a video call, so while we're there...?

As long as I'm over this bloody flu and the wife and mother in law are better by then I'm in.

In the meantime, here is a Zoom meeting ID. It starts at 715pm .... that's in 12 minutes. I just want to test if this works so if someone can do whatever you need to do to join, then do so.

Ok, that worked. Thanks to those who jumped on at short notice. It's a bit clunky on the phones and I'm going to need to bluetooth mine to my sound system to hear anything clearly, but as long as we don't all try to speak at once, I reckon we're good.
I'll schedule another meeting ID later this week.
Looking good folks

Apparently I'm waiting for the host to start this meeting
I dunno why Tim but it just brought this image to mind. I can just see you pushing one out from under your tarp (the trolley, man, the trolley).

OMG my parents had something like that ... exactly like that in fact. They kept it in their bedroom (which sort of explains the 7 kids ..) but rolled it out for posh company.
Hope you're not still waiting for that meeting though mate. It's finished and I'm spoon deep in a jar of Nutella now.

I just happened to be listening to Spotify's "Chilled Jazz" as I opened another bottle of red during dinner, when that trolley image slid into view.

That helinox chair has really got you a reputation for the luxury end of the market Tim, and sat here at home I can really see the appeal, I’d quite like to be sat outside somewhere, comfortable, with nice company, food and not feel scared to share a hip flask.

We're going for ZOOM. Easy to download on your phone and worked well in the beta testing environmentEscape Goat wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 7:51 am I've read through, but my brain is somewhat broken. What app did we agree on?

Re: Virtual BAM ... you know you want to
Great stuff. Will figure out what I need to do later.
Re: Virtual BAM ... you know you want to
If I'd of thought about it I'd have dressed up a bit and thought of something interesting to say.
I was just about to turn my pc off when I saw the post about the test and without thinking about the consequences just dialed-in on my phone. Did you hear my wife come in and ask who I was talking to? When I said I was testing for a virtual bivi with the boners she just rolled her eyes and left the room

Re: Virtual BAM ... you know you want to
I might be the first virtual bailer and I'll have to see how I am in Saturday afternoon.....
Spoken with the Dr on the phone following a bought of the flu with a tight chest when walking upstairs and I've been put on a 7 day supply of Amoxicillin.
Hopefully this will shift it and it won't get any worse in these worrying times.

Does that mean we need to engage our swear filters?
Re: Virtual BAM ... you know you want to
They only hear me swear when I'm really cross with them so I'll just tell them they're really cross with all their kids.
