I'd be happy to plan a trip with you to the North/South Downs, or anywhere local to London if your interested? My friend also wants to tag along (Maybe). I'm based in London so not to far from you. Let me know. Thanks.

Ok cool guys ,I'm based in crawley and can sometimes do short notice trips out ,I can do Monday or tues Eve's or weekends

I'm trying to get a few small ones in say 15/25 miles to get to see what I need ,how to pack etc,
I know the Surrey hills very well but up for any mini adventures

Weather not looking great this weekend

This weekend's looking pretty dire.

I usually just ride locally on the North Downs. Have been to SH on occasion but i'm not much of a hardcore MTBer - more of an off-roadie. I just enjoy riding away from all the traffic.

Do a bit in the peaks where my in laws live and head to Bedgebury now and again.

I haven't done any bikepacking since I went to Scotland in May....

All riding is fun ,I do bit on road, was racing third cat till last year, done some cyclo x racing too and various MTB races

I just love 2 wheels but not into racing at the mo so really like the appeal of little adventures

Would love to ride from Surrey hills to South Downs over a couple days with a bit of bivvying at a nice steady social pace stopping of for a few beers along the way

Sounds good. I keep meaning to do the London - Brighton off road but from home. Cut across on the NDW through the Surrey Hills to the Downs Link and then to Brighton or the SDW to Eastbourne over 2 or 3 days.
Started planning a route but that's as far as I got. Don't seem to have a great deal of time at the moment.
Have got 2 holidays coming up in July and Aug (Iceland and Black Forest) and then a road weekend in Sept so the next likely bivvying trip will be the Peak Ride Thing in Sept if/when it happens.
