Imagine it now, we all wear them to the pub then later set up our bivvys and sleep in them! What other peice of outdoor equipment allows such versatility?Jurassic wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2019 3:26 pmYes, a Crusader Convention. A little package from Norm's big workshop clearout - cheers Stu

We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.
Re: The post man's been ...
I've definitely been a lucky boy today, UPS delivered my SMD Gatewood Cape (about three days earlier than scheduled). I can't believe how compact it is, will this thing really keep me safe and dry in horrible weather?

Soon after that DPD showed up with new wheels for my Camino (ordered yesterday, delivered today).

Some ergon gp1 grips to try on the Jones bars
Re: The post man's been ...
Gatewood Cape delivered yesterday.
Haven't built up the courage to take it out of the pouch yet. It's so neatly packed, and I know it will never look like that again!

Put mine up this morning , surprising easy to get a nice taught pitch ,but we will see after a few pints and in sh1te Weather if it's still as easy
,and yes even just bundled into the pocket it's still nice and tidy
Think a serenity net maybe the next purchase just to give it a bit more versatility

53mm wide SKS bluemels mudguards for my #gradventourer and a smaller granny ring for it. The mudguards are great and give decent clearance even over my Nano 40s
, the chainring doesn't fit my chainset though so more research required there.

Re: The post man's been ...
Postie has left me a Lightweight bivi bag 200g (& 7g for the bag)

Not the postie, but a nice guy from TNT dropping off my new Solaris Max, which I then dropped
Total shock to the system compared to my last bike, great fun screaming down singletrack in the rain

Mart -200g AND waterproof AND thirty quid?! Blimey even I'm wavering about the damn things now. What on earth is it for that spec? Must be a luxury binliner. If it's also breathable I'll deffo eat my hat.

Had a birthday recently, got a few presents including a few cycling related things, which was nice
- custom stem cap from the kids (really from my wife) - "keep going daddy!" with the names of the kids round the bottom
- sea to summit seal and go mug, quite pleased with this, proper coffee coming up (only have one mug in my brew kit)
- tubeless set up stuff
- cleats for my new winter boots

No not really - the material is certainly waterproof but the seams aren't taped, so in reality it can't be classed as waterproof.AND waterproof
