On the beach at Barry, S Wales. I had a Monday morning meeting in Barry so I rode Afan on Sunday and slept here. Tidy!

I'm loving the beach one, you can't go wrong with a bit of beach camping. Only two weeks until i hit the SDW I can't wait...

I'm with Ian that bivvy spot is special, particularly with that sunrise
(that's my old 456 in the background of the 2 photo, and that was the night I was talked into getting a 29er by Ian and Flatfish :D )

I'm liking slugwash's one. The kind of morning where you take one look and wait until the sun is up :)

You guys need to embrace the city... full on bike tramping here...

@ slugwash ... that picture is great.
@Paul ... yea be careful or you'll end up on 'the list'. I assume you have to make sure you've eaten all you sweeties before the kids turn up again

Really enjoying the photos.
Just spent the weekend on Dartmoor so it was great to trawl through Slugwash's photos
Here's my fav, Canoe bivi, River Dart Sept 2010.

@Nevis ... do you not get swarmed by midges that close to the river?

Paul78, not sure I would camp there but it is a funny picture. It reminds me of 'Stig of the Dump' type camping off the 80's

Re: best view from ya bivi/tent
We had no problems with midges at all, guess they don't like salt water
Unlike Dartmoor on the weekend, no water to be seen but midges everywhere :(
Paul's urban bivi photo is very funny but not my idea of getting away from it all!

@Nevis - I'm pretty sure you were camping just across the river from us ;-) Is that opposite Ashprington Point just up from Duncannon?

EDIT: Actually, I'm now guessing you were a couple of hundred metres further upstream just past the Sharpham boathouse.

Slugwash: just round the next corner past the boat house and then round the next. Right next to the plague ship. Lovely spot and one of the few places you can get ashore at low tide without having to wade through the gak.

North end of Gorge du Dades, Morocco.

Re: best view from ya bivi/tent
Not quite the scenery shots everyone else is going for, but a 'from the tent' shot all the same.

Re: best view from ya bivi/tent
Here's one we did last December in the middle of the bad weather, did this with Blackhound instead fo coming over to the winter bivvy as it was too snowy to travel far, rode out from home instead for about 30 miles before kipping the night at the side of the Tissington trail in a bus shelter.
