Something I've long thought I wanted - mk2 Dialledbikes Love/Hate.
Thanks to a nice bloke called Matt who remembered I'd asked after it several months earlier and chucked in a couple of bottles of beer 8-)

The electronic post man came yesterday and delivered me an email from TGO magazine to say I'd won a 5 star weekend for two on the Isle of Wight! Bit more sophistication than I'm used to...

All it needs now is a bit of customisation to my exact requirements :)

Hope Pro2 rear wheel (Stans Arch EX rim) because I couldn't face stripping the wheel off the Gryphon to build the Scandal. Front Tech Evo M4 because I couldn't face stripping the only other PM brake off the Morning Glory for the same build.

Terra Nova Adventure tarp
Karrimor Pegs
(Combined with pound shop guys & recycled tent pole gets me a 600ish gram shelter)
Karrimor Elite Shield softshell trousers
From Sports Direct along with the infamous free mug I can use as a ground anchor to lock my bike to.

A pair of KCNC Razor disc rotors to replace the heavy, and not very good Avid ones. A good way to lose a quarter of a pound of rotating weight and improve braking at the same time, for not a great deal of money.
Very happy with them!

I'm not sure I'd want the kcncs on a loaded bike. I have them on my xc race bike and they're ace. A trip down Snowdon rangers path/Telegraph Valley and they're a bit juddery.....

Re: The post man's been ...
I've used them on my Inbred for over two years and they've been fine ... it's a bike that I've never actually ridden unloadedI'm not sure I'd want the kcncs on a loaded bike.

May the bridges you burn light your way
Re: The post man's been ...
You also tend to go a touch slower when loaded.
Which for me these days puts me at about walking pace. :D
Reassuring to hear that others are using them too.
I've used a few KCNC parts and always been impressed by the quality.

They look nicer / lighter than the ones on the Gryphon. Did you get them anywhere special*

Re: The post man's been ...
They seemed much of a muchness to be honest unless I fancied ebay from taiwan. Even then there was only a few quid in it. So I just went with xcracer.com
I switched to swiss stop pads too which should also improve things.

Loving those rotors, gotta get some when I bend my light superstar ones
Got a 300ml one of these through the post today as I liked the safety valve, really tough plastic (97g) so it can go on my forks in a monkii cage

Funny you should mention that. I was in a well known chain of pet shops the other day, and was looking at the dog toys. A lot of them really do look like Sex Toys!flatfishy wrote:Got my Spoon with grips this morning.

Gearne G.Rinta trail shoes. Great Vibram sole for bikeyhikey duty and SPD compatible, 3 Velcro straps still my favourite closure by far. Well chuffed, certainly beats tottering up Scafel in my Sidi's :)
Ordered Sat, arrived Monday- good Ol' Royal Mail.

Re: The post man's been ...
Bearbones 22g meth stove came today to add my collection.
Got a msr stowaway seagull pot to boil 500ml in 7mins odd just before 20ml of meth run out a min later, stove build is good. the stove for me though would be saved for a two person trip in high insight I should have gone for the remote feed version (is this some that could be done after completed build??)
Thanks stuart
