The most excellent effort Mr Barter.
I cannot begin to imagine how difficult that will have been.
I am in awe.

Amazing. Am a bit awestruck too and doing a sort of one minute respectful silence in homage of Dave's fortitude and staying power.
We ought to invent a new swear word to mark his achievement..

Jolly good idea
Perhaps Dave could judge?

Chapeau sweaty Dave (attempted 'sweary' but left typo in for amusement)!
Boggles the mind doing that mileage over that terrain in those conditions for that many days.

Big respect Dave, fantastic effort
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

That was a tough finish. So glad to go under 21 days. Thanks for following me on my journey which has been a hell of an experience. Expect the usually dodgy video soon
Finally thanks to Alan G for not giving me a HT550 place and making me look for something else to do

technicaly you were beaten by a girl with one gear, not no gears,
Surely its Ok to describe a SS as a bike with no gears?
I agree she has one gear but she does not have gearS

When someone points out my ssp with "there's only one gear!" I like to say I actually have two.
