That sounds like a Viz euphemism for a Friday Night Promise, Stu
. But that's just Reg's warped and confused mind (his isn't mine I hasten to add).
I'm glad someone's having a CF though, I'm getting extremely wound up about this Making Tax Digital bollocks today and need to hear about something cheery, so ta.

The LHC II route is cheery Reg. You should (if you so wished) be able to pick it up quite easily after departing your train and just in time for the really good bit in the middle .... I actually wrote 'muddle' then and was quite tempted to leave it.and need to hear about something cheery, so ta.

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
Yes thanks for sending it Stu, I need to have a look. I'd got a vague loop round north of the railway similar to JC but I'm dithering now Steve's south of it! If I set off from Welshpool early on Sunday I'm not sure where I'd intercept the merry band. Oh Lordy, maybe I have to debouch at Newtown instead. Steve mate pls could you PM me your Sat night spot? If JC's got the best plan ever, mine's deffo the worst

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
My guess / estimate would be Sat night either on the Ridgeway or just off it. Wouldn't take you too long to trundle up there if you jump ship at Newtown. There's one potential overnight spot that would be easy enough to reach on the road and put everyone in a prime position for Sunday.

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
My pencilled route for the weekend appears to be betwixt the two LHC routes so there's every good chance we may see you Reg sometime Sat night / Sun morning as you spin in ever increasing circles looking for wayward groups of lonely bike hobos
Oh, and it's cheery Friday because the bluebells in my neck of the woods are totally amazing at the moment - thin sinews of singletrack through a sea of blue.

We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

Found my helmet on 'that' shelf in the spare room and gave Dee's bike it's first test ride. New log book arrived this morning and just waiting for the historic vehicle paperwork to arrive so it's free tax and no mot

Don't know why but that picture has reminded me of how all my school girlfriends ended up branded by the exhaust on my CG125. Bikes and shorts/skirts don't really mix.

Damn you!
I've just been browsing ebay for 1978 motorbikes and can't believe how much some of my old bikes would sell for now

I'll confess - I was wearing shorts today.Bikes and shorts/skirts don't really mix.

There seems to be a school of thought that thinks anything old must be a 'classic' and therefor have value. Something crap in 1978 isn't any less crap now.I've just been browsing ebay for 1978 motorbikes and can't believe how much some of my old bikes would sell for now

Well not that cheery actually. Last nights flight to Barcelona was cancelled due to the bloody French so I didn't get to join Duncan and co. on this years Spanish C2C.... Bugger

Hmm, at least I'm not throwing up today
Cath was sick earlier in the week and I caught the lurgy about 36hrs later and spent the latter half of yesterday on the big white telephone talking to Huwey. On the bright side at least I know what it feels like to be a cat and sleep for 18hrs a day

Nice one Stu, that looks well smart. I missed the whole jap aircooled 4 thing having been suckered into old British stuff and it seems a bit late now given the price stuff is going for.... but when I look at that.......Bearbonesnorm wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 10:52 am Found my helmet on 'that' shelf in the spare room and gave Dee's bike it's first test ride. 'bad ass lid' - given to him either by Stig ('The', not 'Of The Dump'
) or an Imperial Stormtrooper...

Must be worn with horrible nylon paddock jacket, thin black jeans, white socks and trainers. (And technically a 350LC)

Not a Bandit, it's an RX4 but certainly not new. Must be 30 years old now but cost me over £350 even then.Simpson bandit, lovely lid, is that one of the originals or the newer road legal one ?
Oh yes, spent a summer riding with the South London LC Cult when I was at college ... proper nutters. Happy days.Must be worn with horrible nylon paddock jacket, thin black jeans, white socks and trainers. (And technically a 350LC)

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
I know it's not Friday yet but it will be when I get back in house from seeing "London Calling", a Clash tribute band doing, you guessed it, the whole of the London Calling double album and then some.
I don't think Friday itself will be so cheery as I'll no doubt have a hangover.
