Nice pair of Outdoor Designs Hut Booties arrived too. 130g the pair and a reasonably robust, waterproof sole.

Scandal (v2), Recon forks (120mm), Works slackset and seat clamp - secondhand from STW.
RS8 cranks from the classifieds (cheers Przemek).
BIke build this weekend - no doubt it'll come to an abrupt stop when I find a sizing issue or insufficient parts in the spares bin

Yep, mounted inboard of gear, brake levers for extra hand positions, sort of an extended Jones h bar. Think they will be spot on once my shorter stem arrives.restlessnative wrote:bar ends on marys?Ray Young wrote:Alpkit 8l airlock, dyneema chord, pair ravx bar ends and garmin etrex venture courtesy of Stu, thankyou, shall be playing with that tonight.

Spec is a 25deg backsweep with 685mm tip-to-tip.
The main problem I see is getting hold of them. I believe Ragley discontinued them which seems strange as so many people rate them
Re: The post man's been ...
Thanks Paul ^ that might be borderline OK although, true, getting them isn't easy. Marys are 640 which isn't borderline.
But also, the postman's been - Funn Full-On bars (750 wide), which are a complete steal at £20 from CRC

A pair of Integral Designs PLQ (gimp) pants. They were a bargain S/H buy and very toasty they are too.

Today I got my pair of Fix It Sticks, a slightly different kind of cycle tool that I backed on Kickstarter a few months ago. They're quite neat, very compact, lots of leverage and only 50g.
Also, a pair of Teva eVent shoes going cheap at Field and Trek. They kindly included a very large Sports Direct mug in a box labelled fragile. They put the box in the shipping bag, so the courier couldn't see that it was fragile, and so it arrived in several pieces. Lovely

BUch of lighting stuff from Alpkit to add to / replace existing stuff. Their new lanterns seem nice though won't know if they're any good until used properly.
The new "small" headtorch is a bulky thing in the hand (relatively speaking) but again, need to see how it works in the real world.
A folding Ti spork to stay in the brew / bivi kit as always forget regular sporks as the kids take them

One of Stu's stove kits, amazing bit of kit, trying it out this weekend on the WHW.
Also a Sun Race thumbie thing that I am assured is Shimano 9spd indexed, problem is that I have no way of telling as the XT mech that I was going to use it with has lost the spring etc from the mount bolt
Nothing to do with me I assure you
Guess I need to buy a mech next then! I wanted a shortie for it anyway, anyone know if a 105 will work with a 32t first gear ok? It's an xt cassette on a Hope Trials hub.
