New around here and a relative new coming to bivving (hi!)- but this weekend is me and a friends WRT warm up weekend.
We were thinking of heading down to the Mendips, probably around Cheddar to do a bit of exploring. Has anyone got any tips for any decent bivvy sites around?
Thanks!

Atop of the hill fort at Dolebury or Frys hill are two decent spots but can be windy.
Velvet bottom is nice.
Don't have a lie in though as you'll probably get rumbled if you stay too long.

Cheers for the suggestions, we'll have a scout around during our ride. The Mendips were chosen for the reasonable lumps compared to Berkshire/Cambridgeshire, so I think we'll have a fun weekend exploring.

Western end of Cheddar Cliffs would be good too. Approach this from the western end, NOT the eastern end.
