OS Map symbol question.

Post by Ray Young »

Been looking at some OS 1/50.000 maps of the Yorkshire Dales. There are some pink dotted lines that in the symbols guide say "other route with public access". Does this mean you can cycle on them?

If the pink dots are on a white road, yes.

It's normally an un-maintained road.

This should help,

One line goes from black dashed road to black dash path then over open moorland. Wonder if it's to do with the Pennine Bridleway or other recreational route? Like the link, thanks.
