Will have to do laps of the school carpark.
If at the Dolgadfan crossroads (where we turned right on the way out) the odometer's at 197km then it'll be just on 200-200.2 at the finish. I'll be turning around there if mine's less than 197 and heading back towards Pennant to add distance*, as it's about the flattest part of the whole course.

Wot Mike said, plus: if you get as far as the ford on the hard track then turn left/upstream and follow the river bank to the footbridge, which is 150m or so off the track.
"some bog" - an understatement par excellence surely , last time I went over/through/under that I nearly disappeared. Be interesting to see who reverts to the nasty river crossing after all. Reckon that'd be an entertaining spot to sit with a flask of tea under an [extremely tough] umbrella about 10am Sat, which incidentally is when the wind is at its highest velocity it says here gusting up to 70mph which is quite bracing. Honestly you gents have balls of steel (probably that ZDP-189 stuff or similar). I seriously doff my hat to you. Before it gets blown off that is.

Had a pinprick hole in the rear tyre's sidewall that I haven't been able to get to seal all week. Couldn't figure it out. Decided enough was enough tonight and was taking it off to swap it when I noticed an unusual bit of tread that turned out to be this

What I did: open original gpx in bikehike. Open amendment in another bikehike window and then use the drag edit feature to make the appropriate bit of the original file match the amendment. Then download the ammended file and name it something suitable.
Just tested out the rib a bit with a higher power output. Still uncomfortable to take a full breath, but it didn't feel like it moved out of place, so that's promising.
Keep the rubber on the floor you *might* get away on any of 'em. I'm more concerned about being blown across a trail and off the side into a ditch/valley. In a break with tradition, I'm adding load to the bike to keep it grounded.
I'm sure that scores a perfect 10 on innuendo bingo
For the sake of completeness, it's a lovely morning here in Cataluña, 20° and no wind. Sunday is race day for me as well, 40km of dry dusty trails, 3 feed stations, post race meal and beer with a goodie bag containing a sweatshirt in the €20 entry fee. http://www.montbike.org/duextremamposta/es/inicio/
