MaM, Scott and meself are looking at a Salopian/Chiltonian fusion weekend to be a bit different from usual :). I think the details have an embargo at the moment but TBD permitted a feline to exit the container a couple of days ago . No doubt MaM will be putting adverts in all the fashionable colour supplements at the appropriate time .

Ok ,as reg has got all excited about this , hopefully this is sort of what I think may happen , church stretton for about 10 30 ,blast round the hills into pub early evening ,only thing guaranteed is there will be food and way too much beer and whisky ,please anybody arriving from south of the Midlands have your passport and Google translate to hand ,there will be NON of that so called stuff you had for food last year and no cocktails (reg this is aimed at you) ,it will be Shropshire ales and pig dinners if we're lucky a piece of black pudding and a pork pie,it will get quite messy as both myself and Scott seem not to know when to stop drinking ,oh and don't expect to be at the bivy spot before 0030/0100 as this equates to wasted pub time ,let reg or myself or Scott know as need to book pub
As long as the bloomin school fete isn't that weekend, i'm in!
I enjoyed my trip up there a couple of months ago - to be honest, I'd say it was fairly comparable to the SE one (though last year's was definitely too poncy!). In the space of 30 hours we went to the pub twice and two different cafes! Still managed to fit in many hills though

Oh there will definitely be cafes the next morning and possibly more whisky too as I have just secured a night off for Sunday the 16th
In my little head I've got us riding in crisp snow with blue skys proper soft shell weather in reality we'll probably be covered head to toe in sh#te and it'll be blowing a hooly with the heavens open on us ,think I'll stay in my little head it's a much nicer place
One of the things I'm looking forward to (as well as meeting up with all the top chaps signing up so far, and I know James'll be along soon too , and hopefully Our Pickers) will be the endless, how shall we say, ribbing between us southern softies and you supposedly rock 'ard Midlanders (never mind the celtic contingent!). However rest assured it won't be as one-sided as you think . 1am? Some of us will only just be getting into our stride by that hour! And no cocktails eh? Hah. Amazing where one can hide a few of those premixed canned ones around one's gear.....

Hah! I bailed out of last year's winter bivvy in the Highlands due to thigh-deep snowdrifts. I'm hoping for something more Autumnal this year.
So long as we don't biv on top of Pole Bank (where the Pole Dancers perform at midnight I hope?) I'm coolio. When I were there wi' t'family a few weeks ago it was a one acre sized hornets nest. Chased us off the hill they did.

Right we're upto 10 including me and scatt ,when he gets back from his little jaunt in Italy one of us will speak to the pub and find out if a deposit is required , if so as I sound and look like a pikey reg will be collecting your shackles ,which he can then pass on to the pub , will be end of September ,mid October whry one of us speaks to the pub , if you need to see said drinking house it's called The Ragleth Inn in little stretton, website has menus and other stuff upon it ,from there it's about 4 miles up the hill to the Bivi spot(as long as the torn up and rotton trees have left spots to pitch
