WTD - Tent and other WRT gear!

Post by arthurdent »

Thanks to the advice i've had from you guys, i have an idea of the gear i need. I've entered the WRT lite and would like a couple of test runs before. (And as a Yorkshire man i'm tight and also like to buy used first if possible!)

So i'm after:

Tent - 1/2 man - Zephyros or similar (or Tarptent?)
Drybags - 5 & 13 litre
Gourdon pack - 20/25 litre
Mug/Pot
Sleeping bag

Basically any kit you have that may be of use to me. I already have an MSR Pocket rocket and Alpkit Base 180 mat.

Thanks

Tony

Mug/Pot
These will be finding their way on to the Bear Bones site shortly - Aluminium so you can brew up directly in them, hold enough for a good sized cuppa and weigh a staggering 40g which is at least 10g less than any Ti mug of the same capacity ... I imagine they'll be 2 or 3 quit so are ideal for Yorkshire folk ;)

EDIT: I've just remembered that I've got a Nanok Comfort -5 bag if you're interested. It's been used 2-3 times (only once outside), stored uncompressed and cost me around £100 a couple of years ago ... I'd let it go for £45 posted if you're interested.

Hi s8tannorm could you do me a strange favour?
if you havent posted that sleeping bag yet could you weigh it and let me know what weight you get, reason being is I have the same bag and I put a hole in the base the other day so I was just curious to how much down I have lost through the hole and the bag in genaral.
The manufactures printed weight and the bags weight have never matched up but i think this is why it was cheap when I got it.
Thanks

Did the other chap buy it in the end? If not could you send me over some detail of the weight, pack size and width top and bottem please.

I am a large side sleeper so these bags have to be wide, ideally I will be going over to a myog climbashild apex top quilt but that project will be a lot later this year

Thanks for your time.
