I enjoyed reading that. It looks quite pleasant in the pictures, I don't know why it's taken so long for the completions and why there were so many failed attempts beforehand

At least 4 times on day 1 and a few times after I thought "that's the last I'll see if them!" As you pulled away from me.
It was surprising how evenly matched we seemed to be despite our different strengths and weaknesses (terrain/ time of day) I think that was a valuable lesson for future endeavours!
Defiantly gained a lot riding with you and Rob. So many times I thought I was going to be left in the dust only to find myself out in the front a few hours later feeling really strong. And then quite suddenly at the back of the pack again!
Also, for those looking for a modern/progressive/slack feeding technique: Pete's use of the ploughmans was pretty eye opening.
Considering this route myself next week whilst it's dry then maybe follow up with the capital trail. A 2 in 1 kinda ride. Where's best to leave a car for the duration?
