MH24 been a massive help; 24kg less to haul up the hills is ace. Pull ups and dips are a damn sight easier too. Managed to keep my muscle up and increase FTP too with plenty of protein, around 180g-210g per day.
Inspiring.. Thanks - I cant wait for the hills to be "easier!!". Must try some pull ups nd dips - haven't done them for over 20yrs! Keep it up groover.

Not so much a gravel grinder.... more a gravel (mud and tarmac) groveller...
91.5 kg up again this week ,bloody night shift makes me crave crap food at the wrong times of day ,I've decided the only good thing nights is for is being able to have a couple of pints in the early house on the way home without feeling like a dipso

Don't stress and try too hard with 4 weeks to go. What's yer big ride??
Thanks mate. With a mate were riding 115 miles from home to Aberystwyth on the Welsh coast.
June 23rd is the date, and it's just for fun but in conjunction with the Tilnar Cycling Challenge.
Managed to lose 10% of my body weight over the last 8 weeks, having got fat and stagnated all winter. This progress is entirely down to logging calorie balance, using MyFitnessPal, which automatically syncs with Garmin Connect for calories consumed (or at least a reasonable estimate). I am now within 1Kg of my target weight, however, I have noticed more susceptibility to saddle sores recently, perhaps less padding on my butt?!
I'm not expecting much from me. Very little exercise since my cairngorms trip with bad knee and achillies needing a rest. Added to the trauma of 3 x 2hour workshops with Finlay Wilson 'The Kilted Yogi' at the weekend I'm pretty buggered. So, not been 'bad' this week, but just trying to maintain and recover. We'll see...
