Well, tomorrow get the various trains down to Penzance, then cycle to Land's End to find a cheeky overnight camp.

On Sunday start the Le Jog adventure.

Here's hoping have the ability to finish in the time allocated.

If I might make two minor route alteration suggestions....

After Ballachulish on the A82, take the Corran Ferry across to Ardgour and then the "ferry" back to Fort William from Camusnagaul. The A82 to FW is pretty horrid along there. Check the times for the ferry here...

It's a wee adventure in its own right.

Before Alness, leave NCN1 and take the B9176. It offers one of the best views in the Highlands and has a cracking descent to Ardgay

On the cycle track to Inverness
Will arrive Inverness today (Tuesday)
Wild camp somewhere local to Inverness

Head to Crask inn tomorrow (Wednesday)

Then to JOG to finish on Thursday

To be fair, didn’t even write anything on Facebook

Sum the ride up in one word “boring”
Expanding slightly, one road looks pretty much like another.
The many disused railway tracks I ride were interesting; one significant advantage to riding a gravel bike.

I might be a “novice” bikepacker, but had considerably less stuff than many I encountered on the ride. The others were amazed I had so little (some didn’t believe I was camping and unsupported), whereas I was amazed they had so much.
Quite surprising how little one does actually need for a multi week trip.
