I've decided that I'm going to buy a six moon designs deschoutes but can't decide whether or not to get the + with th bug skirt. Are bug skirts any good? Do they actually work? I'm thinking it might save a bit of weight from having a inner though?
Cheers

Remember the midges below you too ... a skirt might actually trap them in with you once you've disturbed them.

Re: Bug net skirts
I tried a Sea to summit nano bug net https://www.ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk ... -net-p9280 but it didn't hang that well in the deschutes as its asymmetric. Plus by the time I'd added a ground sheet it was pretty much the same weight as the far more useful 6 moons designs inner mesh tent (or the ali express equivalent which is much cheaper and only a bit heavier.)
