Anyone know how rideable this is with bikepacking gear ?
A plan is then to ride down Grizedale,
up (pushing) up Sticks & head north

It makes a wonderful run.
I'd not be able to ride up it.

Hiya Bill
Yes been that way more than once. You ride until you can’t then you push but it doesn’t seem all that long pushing, then bits of on/off to reach Grisedale Tarn
If you’re going up towards Helvellyn it is a hard steep push, and stones/rocks make your feet slip a bit, then you’re away “per ardua ad astra “
If you head towards Patterdale it’s not too bad... on/off at first then rideable
Have a good one

Sticks Pass, I’ve only been up it... (pushing but some riding) so going down should be like being on drugs... or flying...

Footpath to the right is 75% rideable up to Grisedale Tarn Go up Keppel Cove instead of Sticks Pass lots of riding and the pushing bits are easy
