Pickers n meself have negotiated passes for March 10th/11th. The chaps over on "Midlands Bivi" have done such a good job selling the delights of their manor that we thought we'd like a slice of it too please. Have already booked my bike on a train arriving at Kiddie at 10.10 via Snow Hill. £7 from Leighton, £13 back - another bonkers bargain. Vague idea of round the canal to Bewdley, through Wyre/Malpass, that bridge at Lower Forge looks interesting, up towards Brown Clee and see if Scott can talk us out of bivvying on top of it . Or whatever takes our fancy on the day. Suppose we'll have to go to a pub at some point, sigh. Back to Kiddie by 6-ish on Sunday. Other mad fools welcome, although group size constrained by bivi spots presumably. Am assuming 'mudfest' will prove an apt description. Who knows/cares.

Yes I did mention the pub with a bit of a sinking feeling, but one can't sweep these things under the carpet. It's at the far end of this ride though so we'll be fine. Oh. That was also the case in Feb wasn't it. Sigh. Well anyway....

We're still on for this if anyone else fancies a 'BaM' toddle round the area - it'll be tropical next weekend. Meet at Kidderminster station Sat about 10am, after that no fixed plan other than meander in the direction of Clee Hills by the evening.

Still thinking of chow at Burwarton? My only thought about that place is it looks a bit posh for grubby bikepackers. I'll take a spin over there this week once there is some lane visible again - some good 6'+ drifts up around Ditton Priors at the moment.

I always think it's good for BP'ers to invade the posh places - gives 'em something to talk about instead of tedious house prices, avocados, and whether John Lewis has the latest set of prosciutto tongs :). Personally I much prefer sawdust on the floor and outside bogs, so long as they can flog me some proper beer and a cheese and onion roll and some crisps.

Good point - perhaps you and Mike could do us a quick correspondence course in Brummie before we set off :). There's probably some sort of 'phone app' (whatever one of those might be) to help us when we actually arrive and need to start conversing with the locals :).

I'll have you know I was terribly well spoken until my first job of work in Ettingshall - another sun bleached fishing hamlet.... , the second job was in Netherton. If you know Netherton there's no way it could be mistaken for a fishing hamlet of any sort unless yow likes the cut. Shame about Toys Am We ay it?
