Re: Radnor Ring.
I've not looked at an OS yet but the route is something like ... Rhayader - Llandrindod - Kington - Knighton - Rhayader. It would appear that the first half has plenty of off road options. The second half would seem to involve more, quiet lane type stuff but I'll have a better idea once the maps have been out

Re: Radnor Ring.
I reckon SS will be okay, have a look around the area SW of Radnor Forest ... it looks to contain the worst of the climbing.
We'll be keeping out of the way of Harley Dingle firing range though

Re: Radnor Ring.
I seem to recall there's a brilliant piece of singletrack descent down the side of a firing range somewhere broadly SW of Radnor Forest - haven't ridden that way for many years.
Re: Radnor Ring.
Pretty sure its the bridleway between Three Riggles and Haines Mill.singletrack descent down the side of a firing range somewhere

Re: Radnor Ring.
Just looked on the map ... that does look like it could be fun and it also looks like it could be included very easily

Re: Radnor Ring.
Looking at the forecast ... I think if anyone was thinking that they'd prefer to spend Sat night in a (small) tent then we'll find a spot to suit.
Otherwise it's all systems go, Spar in Rhayader, noon on Sat!

Still planning on using the tarp, so perhaps a bit of tree cover would be nice.

Re: Radnor Ring.
After looking at the maps I think a route alteration could be in order this weekend (to miss out some tarmac). Should still get all the best bits in but possibly use part of the Trans Cambrian for the return leg on Sunday.
Looking forward to it :D

Re: Radnor Ring.
As I have absolutely no idea which route you intend taking, I have to defer to your best judgement.a route alteration could be in order
Weather looking better for the weekend.

Looking forward to it too.
Re: Radnor Ring.
Hopefully I will be joining you. As I have to work late tonight and then cycle from Borth to Rhyader in the morning it really depends on weather when I get up, but things are looking good.

If all goes according to plan, I will have my Spot tracker in tracking mode:

Cool I can track you, these Spots are great looking forward to. Getting mine up and running when I am back on the bike

Re: Radnor Ring.
Pleased to see the Spot tracking worked. Need to find a good position for it to send it's messages though so it's more consistant.
