This year we'll go to the Dales.
I'm already booked on the 'official' weekend, so we'll go the one before.

Meet: 9/10th Dec
When: 11am meet for a noon start
Where: Kettlewell. Zarinas Tearoom

What to expect:
110k over 2 days. General Dales riding with a bit of everything and a reasonable amount of climbing
Pace will be social, with the aim to cover the 60k to the pub in 6 hours
Pub for Saturday night and hopefully a cafe for breakfast on Sunday
Fingers crossed for a roof over your head, but no promises

What to Bring:
Kit suitable for a night out in December
Beer tokens
Sense of humour

Deserters, splitters, moaners will be shot

Just been for a wind resisted ride up to Buckden. The tearoom is currently shut, looks like it's being refurbished. There is a cafe http://www.westwindsinyorkshire.co.uk/ behind the pub that's open at the moment but don't know if it will still be open come December, I didn't go round and check.

That probably sounded like an odd comment - I thought windjammer was proposing a more northerly start for some reason I'm probably still in though.

I think might have walked past and taken a photo of that bothy last weekend by pure coincidence.

Chew sent me the proposed routes so yes the Sunday route returns to Kettlewell but via a shorter route.

Chew iv hopefully got the sat and sun night off so I can come. I will know closer to the time but fingers crossed. Even if I can't get the Sunday night I'll come just have to get home in time. What sort of time do you think ul be aiming to get back to Kettlewell :)
