A sweet overnighter at the weekend - Manchester/Hope/Manchester - with some old friends from Nottingham and London. Max rode his lush Ritchey Team Comp circa 1985 to show all us modern fad/kit people up...

A slight deviation from the norm - life is a little too over-subscribed to get out on a bike much at the moment but here's a few I took in the last month I'm happy with. Sorry there'[s no bikes. Later in November maybe.
Both taken mid-Channel in around 38m.

Particularly happy with the first due to 3 different sources of light reasonably well balanced.

This is looking back at the steering quadrant of a sub-chaser. The barrel shaped things in the foreground are 70 year old depth-charges.

Great pics, really interesting. I always assumed this thread was for any great / interesting / whatever pics. Never assumed it had to be bike or bivi related

Re: Photos you have taken in the last month of which you lik
Agree, hell very few of my pics have bikes in them!

Re: Photos you have taken in the last month of which you lik
Thanks for that. I'm away for some blue water diving tomorrow - I may bore you with some more UW when I get back if that's ok.

In the words of Mick Jagger :-
"This could be the last time..."

Please, oh please let it be the last time, for this year at least.

I couldn't tell you why, but I really like that last shot Greg. There's a really nice grain to it.

Thanks Dan, that is why I like to take photos like this. I utterly adore when a shot fades to empty.

I was hoping the heavy fog I've been seeing from the commute all week would hang around for the weekend for that reason. Unfortunately it seems to have buggered off this morning.GregMay wrote:danielgroves wrote:I couldn't tell you why, but I really like that last shot Greg. There's a really nice grain to it.

Quite possibly my favourite photo that I've taken this year and it was taken on my new camera phone as well

A local lady in the café at Corris recommended Castell y Bere as a bivi spot for the chapel & church event (but was a bit off route for me). Where was the very first bivi night at the very beginning of Bearbones? I couldn't make it but from memory was it Castell y Bere?Matt wrote:From Castell y Bere

Great pictures btw!
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.
