Re: Jersey / gilet orders are GO.
Thanks, I'm pretty sure I ordered a medium last year and my chest is within those limits, just, but a small will probably be too short in the arms... as I'm typing this I've remembered it's a short sleeve I want so short arms are mandatory

Yeah - the M inside the collar is the size. Owayo always do it like that.
Of course with me being a medium, I order a Large.

What size does a Gilet pack down to?
Zazen - nothing happens next this is it.
Re: Jersey / gilet orders are GO.
Standard thin roadie gilet size - apple ish ball. Will fit in a jersey pocket fineMariner wrote:What size does a Gilet pack down to?
It's thin and good, not cut as skinny as the jersey I find. It has the same back as the front (i.e. slick ish synthetic material, no mesh)
Re: Jersey / gilet orders are GO.
Quick question before I order (apologies if it's been covered and I missed it).
Are the gilets made of a windproof type fabric or just standard jersey material?

It's this one I think

The CVW5 Pro Wind Gilet is especially popular as it easily fits into the 3-part pocket of a cycling jersey, allowing you to bring it along without adding too much bulk and extra weight. The wind resistant G-Tex is very functional, providing you with the perfect amount of protection against head wind, also ensuring maximum temperature regulation and comfort.

Colin's right. Gilets are windproof and to a degree, showerproof too, although please don't think they're in any way waterproof.

I actually laughed out loud on route reading "I just wouldn't be able to resist making them furry".Bearbonesnorm wrote:As much as I like the idea of thongs, I know that I just wouldn't be able to resist making them furry.

Re: Jersey / gilet orders are GO.
So - a chest of 43" would be a XL in a jersey and a L in a gilet?
I an not going for figure hugging here, just a normal (non-road) fit. Any idea of size when measured pit-to-pit when laid flat on a table for instance?
Thanks

I'm 42" chest and have the XL, it's snug but not road fit. Just measured it and across the seams in the armpit area it's 21" across.NorwayCalling wrote:So - a chest of 43" would be a XL in a jersey and a L in a gilet?

No, not really. 43" would be XL in both jersey and gilet. The gilet would be a reasonably relaxed fit in that size but not baggy. The jersey would be a tightish 'road' fit ... if you wanted something more relaxed, I'd suggest going up a size in both garments. So - a chest of 43" would be a XL in a jersey and a L in a gilet?

To give you some idea - I'd wear a M T shirt but here's me (40" chest, 30" waist) wearing both a large jersey and large gilet.

I can just sense you're pulling an unhappy face... the other model was much better :D
I'm a medium T shirt (38 chest, 32 waist) and have a large in both my SS jersey and vest.

Tell me what you're thinking and I'll have a measure up and see if it'll fit. We've never exceeded whatever the maximum is ... even when someone spelt their name wrongWhat's the max character count on the text (roughly)?

Twelve on mine including a space. Might also depend on the actual letters - 'm' & 'w' will take up more space than 'i'.

I'm thinking probably 14.
The Bunny is all very well and good, but no-one on here knows me as that. So I'm thinking The Bunny (RG) or RG (The Bunny)

Couple of questions.
As I've been losing a bit of weight my chest seems to have gone from a 41 ish to 39 ish (as measured a few weeks ago). As I am away from home till Saturday I won't be able to confirm that 39 is still the case. Generally I prefer a 'comfort' fit. Would I be correct in thinking that at 39 chest an XL would be OK for a S/S top? Same size for Gilet? ( Normally just get cheapo cycling jerseys from Decathlon as it's the only place I can try stuff on). I'm 5' 6" with a waist of about 34", would the XL be too long in the body?
Stu, will you still be taking orders up to the weekend?
Thanks all.
