Frame bag width?

Post by Dan_K »

Other half is buying me a frame bag as an Xmas present (Alpkit).

Which width should I get? It's to go on my Giant Xtc 3.5:

I know I need to do the template thing anyway but I'm worried about the bulge (not mine - the bike's although mine is becoming an issue. I need to ride more).

The one I had to review was the middle size (whatever that is). The bigger one might bulge a little too much and I wonder if the thinner one will limit capacity ?

Cheers Stu. I thought the middle one is probably the safer bet.

I got the middle one with no divider to fit a small 15" frame and it's spot on bulge wise. A bigger frame would need a divider in my opinion and I still wouldn't get the wider one.

Great service from Alpkit. Ordered my framebag on Thursday last week. Posted them cardboard template on Saturday. Monday morning get a phone call to say they've received it and to clarify a couple of queries that they had and today (Tuesday) I get an email to say it's despatched.
Really impressed. Let's hope it fits and my measurements aren't crap!

Shame I have to wait until after Xmas before I can use it as it's a present..... :(
