Sad week.....

Post by Dan_K »

Sold a couple of bikes this week so I'm now down to 3 - two road and one mtb

The guy that collected my Boardman full suss asked me what I'd bought instead, we both looked sad when I said "nothing". I think he felt my pain.

I'm down to just my Inbred at the moment after splitting up my Kona full suss. I don't really like stuff sitting about that doesn't get used.

There is a Pompino frame in the post to me though

have been there - an awkward moment for sure.

you definitely need to do something about it!

not about the number of bikes but the road-to-mtb ratio (2:1 is not healthy!).

I prefer MTB but living where I do, it's not as accesible. Much easier to go out on the road bike for an hour, plus it's better for fitness.
I think i'm gonna chuck some money at my Giant with a few upgrades...

you deffinately need another MTB though.

i stick to
1 Fast and light hardtail
1 Full suspension for playing out
1 Road
1 Tour

I do have a frame stored in the loft, but thats because I do really like it and will go back to it at some point

that's about right IMO though i'm currently at:

1 HT 26er (fun, with a longer 120mm travel fork)
1 HT 29er (more XC/bikepakcing-ish)
1 Road (just gone from a steel Planet X 'Kaffenback' to a 'SL Pro Carbon')

and.....2 (3 if you count one that needs some welding) frames sitting around waiting for "the right time".
