Edit 2: damn it! Is it even possible to get the bbcode from Flickr on Android!?
Edit 3: So... Apparently you only seem to be able to see get the bbcode through the website and not the app and only then if you force the desktop view. Unfortunately, although I can then see the bbcode I appear to be unable to copy it. Different photo shareing site time I think.
Edit 4: Finally! Thank you imgur. Flickr, go to the naughty corner!
Therefore any photos I've put up are now not available and I'm probably not the only one. A shame really as I've been posting on my 'local' forum for 9 years and now all the pics are just on the main PB site.
So, whats the best photo storing site where its easy to upload to forums etc?

I never used photobucket but signed up recently for imgur. Seems OK, right click a photo and you get various options of code to paste into forums like this, click on the option and then paste here (or there).

Flickr also works and is easy to share if using the full website from a PC. getting the BBCode from the mobile version is more tricky but there's an Android add-on for Flickr that makes it work.
I'm new to the forums and just looking how to post pics, I've only got my photos stored on my phone Google photos, do I have to create a Flickr account and put them on there?
Cheers
They basically need to be somewhere that is publicly accessible so "on your phone" won't do. If your photos are copied automatically by Google to their servers then you should be able to make them public and post the link on here.
Flikr, Imgur and similar sites are set up specifically for images and to be able to share them, easy from a desktop or laptop but can be awkward from a tablet or phone.

Just a quick test here for pics from Google Photos.
Edit: OK, so it seems to work if at the end of the copied picture url that normally ends with "-no" you add "-tmp.jpg". Haven't tried to hack it from the phone / iPad yet...
+1 for Imgur, very easy on the desktop to grab not only the link to an image but there's also a set of common options for things like the code to paste in forums like this. Not used the iOS app.

I only upload the images I wish to post on threads. Make sure you resize them before uploading, slows things down massively if there's a thread with loads of images straight out of the camera that are several Mb in size. A 10Mb image resized down to say 1000 pixels wide and saved for the web comes out at about 200Kb for example
