Horse gets in way of cycling.

Post by Ray Young »

I am now back from London and was going to take my new bike on it's first off road ride today. Unfortunatley the horse I was putting out to the field this morning stood on my foot, luckily nothing broken but by god is it sore.

Funny, I was planning on heading out for a gentle tootle this morning but my plans were scuppered by a ewe of ours having twins and needing to be re-housed in the downstairs bathroom.

Maybe the animals have their reasons to want us off the bikes today....?

Dangerous things those horses! I hope your foot recovers quickly (bloody hurts doesn't it!) I let one of our ponies out into the field every morning & have to negotiate slippery mud, excited pony hooves and opening & closing the electric fence, all whilst a Spaniel puppy sprints around our legs like a nutter. So far it's all gone well but I'm just waiting for the inevitable disaster...

Gonna invest in some steel toe cap wellies or boots, should have got them ages ago really  .
