There are some great trails over in the Llanbedr Hill and Radnor Forest area but they're too far from your place for my little legs on a WRT weekend!
I can remember probably 15 years or so ago doing an event in Radnor Forest (where are the trees?), I think it was called the Tomac 100, put on by John Lloyd and Ron Bevis. It ripped my legs off, they're still aching now!!
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.
Anywhere that might be nice to bivvy in the Strata Florida / Llyn Brianne area?
There's no shortage, just ride until you see somewhere nice - it won't take long. Obviously there's 'bothy draw' to contend with in that area, so best we say no more.
Current plan is road blast down to LLwyn-on on the Saturday, stay over with a few mates in the bunkhouse, try not to get too p!ssed. Then Sunday/Monday off road it back north via Llandovery, maybe bivi somewhere around Trallwm, Carnau northbound Monday morning, breakfast at Elan visitor centre, then over Esgair Perfedd, up to Llangurig, round the west side of Llyn Clywedog and back to Stu's lair. 278km, 5099m ascent. Then four days off the bike until the Spanish C2C...
I think Tussock Deathmarch is the name of the guest ale in the pub (and, if it's not, it should be!).

On topic, some really good waypoints this year.... even if some were in places that were a pig to get to!
The one east of Hundred House was a massive slog, but worth it in part because the place was like watership down; bunnies everywhere!
South from the waypoint at Ystumtuen was crazy. Hell of a valley between there and Devil's Bridge.
I believe I camped pretty close to the waypoint south of Strata Florida. I've never hit it from that direction before. Was a beast of a climb at night.
The waypoint east of Abergwesyn was up a private (like, NO RIGHT OF WAY) road... (I pedalled a lot faster than I might otherwise have. )
My fave two were probably west of LLanwrthwl. Lovely wooded road on the way to Elan Village.
