Splashed out on January's payday on a Enlightened Equipment Revelation 20° quilt which came last week and February's payday on a Revelate bar harness and large camo front pocket!

How long did people have to wait for their fake trailstars to show up? Its 30 days since I ordered it - is this typical?
I ordered mine on the 6th Feb and it turned up on 3rd of March. Does seem to take a bit of time.

Ordered mine Feb 24th, it arrived 10 minutes ago. Way faster than my usual experience of ordering from places like aliexpress and banggood, it's usually around the 30 day mark or so.PeterC wrote:Al,FlatlandAl wrote:He hasn't actually been.

I've been a bit extravagant and taken delivery of a Terra Nova Southern Cross 1. Hopefully it will give me more pitch options than my beloved Phoenix Phreak when I'm using a tent in the hills.
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

Re: The post man's been ...
Slightly wider inner and larger porch. What's drawn me to it is the exo-skeletal poles so it can be pitched and moved about before stabilising with minimal pegs, hopefully more practical on hard ground, sand, small pitches when a tent is required over a bivi. That's the plan...Bearbonesnorm wrote:Not generally a TN fan but they look nice Peter ... more useable space than a Laser?I've been a bit extravagant and taken delivery of a Terra Nova Southern Cross 1.

A new set of weighing scales. The old (analogue) ones were starting to show their age, well falling to bits might be a better description. So these are digital which means my failing eyes can actually see the nightmare unfold.
I've done a comparison between old and new and the values are as close as I can make out so shouldn't make a difference to the fat fighters club

I would just like to point out that the 'day late' refers to Colin's post, not my shoddy deliveryA day late, but a heap of goodies from the BB Shoppe, including a patch for my tarp and a Gorilla Cage for the under-down tube mounts on my Pact (RIP)

Had to go and pick this up rather than have it delivered but anyway - a new inverter. Happily, I paid less than a thitd of what it should cost and yes, I have a receipt

a new 9 speed groups set for my tourer, and a vow to never to darken my doors with 10 or 11 speed again on my tourer.
Re: The post man's been ...
50watt solar charge panel for the van. Plus a new Praxis cassette for the Dirty Harry (new chain old cassette wasn't a good combo)

Where d'you pick up the inverter from, Norm?
Been thinking of getting some TIG action on the go for a while, and if they are reasonably priced then it would be rude not to!

Got it from the Welsh institution that is Charlies Stores.Where d'you pick up the inverter from, Norm?
On-line, the cheapest I could find this model for was £180 (reduced from £220). This was £59.95 ... when I quizzed the lads in the shop, they reckoned they've been mis-priced but were happy to sell me one at that price. The only thing you need to be aware of is that, it comes supplied for arc welding, not Tig, so the additional purchase of a torch / tip is required.

That the one in Aber? I spent so much time in there buying crap as a student.
