i found a shiny new Borah Gear bivi bag in the post box when i got home today!

looks the business - all i need now is something resembling a semi-functioning spine with which to ride a bike and i could get out test the thing.

My quilt from Enlightened arrived today. Really impressed with the quality, especially for just over £150 delivered (no customs charges). This is the Revelation X model, 10degF, non-overstuffed, wide. It's got huge loft, the overstuffed one must be mental. 720 grams on my scales.

Yep. Just the right size/fuel ratio too for a single boil. Ideal for boiling a mug full for a rehydrated meal and then boiling again for a brew. Suits what I need perfectly. There is literally no excuse for a cuppa anytime now

Got the bigger brother 22g stove from Stu today, its still teeny weeny and I can live with the 14g difference for the flexibility :D . Last time I used meths though was in boy scouts so going to be fun getting to grips with cooking with it again

Also picked up new wheels from bike shop. Hope hoops laced to Stan's Crest rims with Conti X-king and race King tyres. New wheelset has loped a whopping 2.5lbs off my Fargo!

A new (to me) Salsa Selma 29er frame arrived this morning. Beautiful thing, and hardly a mark on it...







This is gonna be my fun bike, small, chuckable, singlespeed (of course), Lefty squish at the front but still mostly lightweight. Hoping to build it up tonight.

- 1 x Cotic 'Solaris' (in that-odd-blue colour) frame.

- 1 x Rockshox 'Reba RL 29er' forks.

- 1 x Hope mix 'n match headset in bizarre sizing to fit on the Cotic.

- 1 x Control-Tech (should-have-been-expensive-but-75%-off-from-CRC) seatpost.

All I need now is a spine worthy of all these bits and I'll be happy!
