Well, I have both a Solaris (mkI) and a Sherpa (new gen).

My Solaris is a medium and feels a bit short for long days (saddle position also makes front end light when climbing on the steep). Bottle mount is bang middle of down tube so interferes with a (non full) frame bag. It's built up 29er/100mm Reba's. It's my bikepacking bike.

Sherpa is 3" B+. Straight pin, so further forward and despite being a large it feels a little short, no light front though. Bottle cage better position. It 'feels' more aggressive than the Cotic. Not sure that's a requirement for b/p though....

Ragley big wig. Not got a huge triangle, but a great mile muncher, comfortable, springy fun ride, climbs ok, desends like few other hard tails. Cheap second hand.

2.25" Ardents/Arch EX vs 3" Trail Boss/Scraper is apples and oranges so I can't honestly give a meaningful response I'm afraid (never ridden the Sherpa on 29s). 3" more comfort than 2.25" though

Yup, my order went in yesterday. Frames arrive Monday and my bike is due for dispatch on the Thursday.

2x11 SLX, B+ Tough casing 2.8 rear/3.0 front.

I know how you feel Ben, I've a set of Alpkit plus wheels for mine as well as the standard 29er hoops. Mind you, the Mk1 is still a cracking bike.

Well, I wasn't exactly overjoyed when I found out it was boost (I'd even bought 12x142 converters for my Evo2's in anticipation) and my Sherpa rear is also 142 so neither existing wheel set will work...

I've had a while to get used to the idea and the 35mm rims/2.8" rear tyre will reduce the weight of scrapers and 3" (other than I've only gone tough compound tyres....).

Guess I've just got big windows....
