The Pennine Bridleway
So I mentioned this on the epic bivvy thread on STW and I reckon here is the place to get this going.
The Pennine Bridleway is now open(ish) 200 miles of interconnected tracks making it the longest continual cyclyable off road track in the UK. (previously the South Downs Way)
The start is in Middleton, Derbyshire and winds it's way up to Mary Towneley Loop, Long Preston, Settle loop, Malham Moor and finishes 200 miles later in Cumbria. So some stunning countryside.
Putting feelers out but who fancies a go at this 5 days / 4 nights late September over a weekend. Example: Wed 28th September - Sun 2nd October 2011.
Relaxed style with a relaxed(ish) pace pubs / gassing / stove wars.
Aim would be
Day 1 55+ miles
Day 2 45+ miles
Day 3 45+ miles
Day 4 35+ miles
Day 5 20+ miles
How's that sound?

Was chatting to someone yesteray who rode most of this recently and said it was a good few days.

Seems like a good opportunity to make one
Re: The Pennine Bridleway
Cant get the time off work, but might join you from friday night onwards for the Northern section (Hebden Bridge upwards).
I was up near Dent on saturday, biving and road part of the route. Its not all on the route is marked on the 1:25000 OS maps, and some of the route isnt marked that well (although it was misty and i was just following my nose)

Re: The Pennine Bridleway
Is this happening as I need to sort my holidays at work to fit round it.
Re: The Pennine Bridleway
To be honest, the way work is going, if it going to happen it won't be those dates (although I don't have to be there :) )
I'm still up for it but currently haven't currently got the scope to fit it in
