Snap! I picked up one of those the other day on the VAT free machine mart offer thingy

Snap vat free and quidco meant it was about 60 quid.
my old one just about took off the 27mm wheel nuts on the landy on a good day.

Everyone said I needed bigger hose. = Expensive as my compressors live at bottom of the garden.

The Clarke above ripped off the wheel nuts -no bother and then removed the crank bolt on the landy which is torqued at 260ft lb and locktited. -i know it is I did it.... All before the compressor kicked in to top up.

All on 8mm hose.

My dad used to have a Matchless 350 single cylinder motorbike. My mum made him mothball it after they got wed. We sold it on after his death.

"fine piece of British engineering" - yes indeed a lovely little machine that and an interesting project. Perhaps the MTB equivalent is scoring a bottom-bracket from the scrap pile and building a Saracen Tufftrax round it from scratch. Although, if you'll forgive me paraphrasing Mr C Dundee: "You call that an engine? THIS is an engine!". Equally British, V8, still going strong nearly 60 years later. Not sure how much the postage would be on this though, but it took a hell of a crane to lift it back in . I don't know, boys and our toys eh

Garmin etrex 20. Seems straight forward enough to use and the map (at least in an urban environment) has enough detail to use.

My second old school honker horn died on my commuter, in 18 months. I love the noise it makes, genuinely loud and quite amusing, but the rain seems to kill them.

So ordered a spur cycles knock off rockbros bell. Fitted it earlier, makes a cracking sound, lovely long ring to it. Will enjoy doing some bell ringing on the commute in tomorrow. Will order another one for my Brompton I think

That's alright. It has one already so I'll just swap them over. You're right though, anything too big on the bars (like a decent light) and you can't fold the bars down. Alpkit Tau works well as a bright 'see me' light, have to use my commuting helmet light to see on the canal paths etc

It's a demo bike, have a medium and large in and both have mavic wheels

Can't wait to have a spin on it tomorrow before handing it over to the customer
