Lovely bothy trip which contained a little of everything including a return leg across the infamous Begeilyn bridleway in a thunder storm
Interesting riding ... that was bloody steep.
Slightly scary looking people.
A bike leaning against a bothy.
Lots and lots of this

infamous Begeilyn bridleway
So infamous, I've not even heard of it. It goes from where to where?

Starts at SN822929 and heads SW(ish). Stay on the obvious track for the first half km before slowly slipping into a wet, muddy world of hurt
Most of it is unrideable but the views across to Cwm Gwerin make it worth suffering at least once.

I'm pleased that the last time I was up there I took the track to the north of the smaller lake (Tarren Bwlch Gwyn) rather than follow the bridleway along the Hengwm. :D

It wasn't that bad really. I'd already waded through water before we started the trudge up and the torrential rain, sinking into deep mud and nearly falling down a 12 foot drop just seemed to add to the fun. What more could a girl want on a day out?

Oh,
that bridleway...
Not ridden it, but happy to just imagine a nice view based on your description and leave it at that
