Northern Winter Bivi 2016 - 10/11 Dec

Ok it’s the middle of ‘summer’ but another date for your riding calendar.

This year we’re going to head up to the Lakes

I’ll update the finer details nearer to the time, but expect a ~30k ride to the pub, sleep out in the wilds, ~30k ride back
Pace will be sociable, expect some climbing (it is the lakes) and questionable route choices.....

Meet up at Daisy's Cafe in Ambleside (Rydal Road) at noon for a brew and toast, for a 1pm depart

30k ride over some classic trails to the pub, before biving out somewhere nearby.
30k ride back in the morning for more tea and toast.

I'll find out if I can make it as well this year, missed last years for some reason but will need to check with the boss in doors as we've a mark 2 model coming in the beginning of January so I might be 50/50 to availability.

Ah I was was looking at wenchies Google calendar and getting excited about the dates I was hoping I could do both but it's now the same dates as the Welsh variety....

Aye. Due to number one child's birthday this weekend rarely works so I'm planning on a renegade/billy-no-mates/antisocial alt.bivy the weekend after. Likely to be peak based and more than happy for people to come along as I'm not actually antisocial!

Don't want to tempt people away from the proper winter outings though. This won't be as good
