Re: Calder divide this week anyone ?
Agreed, it was really well organised and everyone involved was super friendly. I went on my own and, although I dropped out part way, when I got back to Mytholmroyd after just a few hours, I was given a lovely welcome back, and a really friendly chat, and lots of positivity. I'm really hoping this o...

Re: Jennride
There's a ridewithgps link somewhere further back in the thread. Of the full route (which we didn't do) I'd say that most of it would be green/blue but the section by the River Lickle to Stephenson Ground and the descent down to the Newfield at Seathwaite would be a hard red. Somewhat hard to give ...

if you can find a work around the delicate micro USB port, Just out of interest, did you find a way around this? I love mine, but it's fairly new and I'm concerned that will be a problem. It is a good price, I think I paid the same (eBay)but it didn't come with out front mount, just the elastic bar...

Looks great. Do either of you have a gpx of the route you would be willing to share? Also, for a non technical rider would there be much walking? Could you say what colour it would be at a trail centre? I'm interested as there don't seem to be many lakes routes I could do, and that looks mostly doab...

One rider was expelled from The Tour early on for receiving mechanical assistance… he had the village blacksmith operating the bellows as he reforged his forks![]()

Re: Lachlan Bike Packing the Tour De France
looks like he's stopped atm and the peleton are only 12km behind
Agree with all the comments about him being a good sort, he seems like a really nice chap
Mistake, he was just crossing the track on his way to the next stage...he's way ahead

Re: First GPS
I just got a Garmin Edge Explore as my first gps and i love it. Not had any issues with micro usb port, and yes the battery is integral. I plan routes on my laptop then put them on the garmin. The features i really like are 1) you can put an address in and it will find a route there, 2) you can spec...

I'd like to have read a lot more about "day to day" experiences of women and cycling - what has and is being done to encourage personal transport for women by bike and who's doing the encouraging/enabling and how; what barriers there are and how they have been overcome (or not); more abou...
