Taff trail advice
Hi. Has anyone cycled the taff trail? I am after some info on this, it's a route I'm planning to cycle over 2 days with my mother, who is not a cyclist. So a few things I'm hoping to learn is: -Is the route flattish? I assume it is as it follows a canal. -midway options for sleeping. A room either b...

Making a Tarp
Has anyone done this? I have 3mx1.5m of material.
I was going to just make a rectangle but after some googling it seems adding some cut out curves makes the tarp pitch nicer by eliminating saggy parts.
Is there any patterns or experience with this floating around?

Re: Atlas Mountain Race...
thanks for the responses.
Yeah I shall be taking a front suspension MTB. I have a Bombtrack Beyond + with 29" wheels and front suspension. so should be Ideal.
And yes it has been postponed to October now. Not surprising that part. it kind of works better for me to so its all good.

Aerobar risers?
I'm looking at some PRO missile alloy aero bars. The S shaped ones. But no riser kits are available for them.
Has anyone here had any joy making risers for there aero bars or adapting some from Profile designs? surley they cant vary that much between different brands.
Thanks

Re: Podsacs 'anything' cages? anyone tried them?
Well I got some of the podpads cages.
First impressions are good. Seem super sturdy and strong plastic. Comes with fittings for multiple types of fork.
Sadly the dry bag is just a tiny bit narrow for my stove/pots so may change them.
Hopefully they last after a good use. I see no reason they won't.

Re: Waterproofs
Paramo clothing is what I use and highly recommend. You get damp in it but more importantly it dries when you where it. Unlike Goretex or other membrane fabrics that when the leak you stay wet in the. Paramo keeps you warmer when its damp and dries on you. After trying lots of membrane materials I h...

I'm sure I seen somewhere you can attach water bottle cages to the sides of these.
Does anyone know if that's possible?
Mine will be going on some surly forks which have the 3 screw for mounted cages, I was hoping to add bottle cages to the forks as well.
Cheers

waterproofing dynamo charging set ups?
Have any of you came up with any way to route dynamo cables inside a drybag/handlebar bag like the ortlieb ulitimate 6 E one does? Once I decide on what handlebar bag to get for our camera, I would like to be able to charge it of our dynamos whilst keeping it all waterproof. The dynamo set up is the...

I thought the same as Stu: https://www.lomo.co.uk/acatalog/dry-bike-tail-bag.html#SID=152 They even show it on the front (despite the "tail bag" name). https://www.lomo.co.uk/acatalog/mzm_f8dcb87c35c69494becbcdf07039ee2a_284_284_ffffff_75.jpg nice one thanks, this is a good possibility, b...
