Re: El Mariachi Replacement
For what it’s worth, I own an el mariachi, bought something “modern” and “progressive” and didn’t like it at all. The geo of the el mariachi is not fundamentally different from the surly offerings or the Big Bro. My main gripe with it is the tyre clearance and lack of mounts, so I’ve got a (much hea...

Re: HUNT 35 Carbon Gravel X-Wide Wheelset 700C
Here’s the blurb… they have slightly larger logos on the rims than the ones being sold atm but specs seem the same: Freehub - Shimano Microspline Rims – 700c, Width- 30mm external, 23mm rim bed. Disc-specific. 35mm deep, Tubeless featuring H_LOCK bead-seat for easy and secure tubeless installation. ...

HUNT 35 Carbon Gravel X-Wide Wheelset 700C
These have seen very little use - purchased in nearly new condition and I’ve done one ride on them before deciding I prefer 650b on my Fairlight. Details as follows: Centrelock (I think convertible to 6 bolt) 28 spoke rear / 24 spoke front Microspline freehub 100 / 142 mm thru axle Spare spokes prov...

Re: WTD 29+ wheels
Hi I have a front wheel - Halo Vapour 35 rim laced to a Hope Pro4 hub (both black) that I’d be willing to let go for £100.
The hub is set up as boost but I think I have a non boost set of end caps I can provide so you’d just need to redish the wheel.

I’ve been looking at the Pipedream steel fork as an alternative to Surly. Fair chunk cheaper.

Re: Canti brakes
Nice rims. I’ve actually picked up a good condition pair of mavic T221 rims laced to decent-ish shimano hubs. I’m dreading going back to clinchers but they were £45!

Re: Canti brakes
It’s not arrived yet Rob but happy to share some build pics if anyone is interested.
There’s a reasonable chance it won’t fit me so it may be a short lived project!

Canti brakes
After watching hours of Bikefarmer on YouTube while recovering from Surgery this week I’ve decided I need my own build project as well as my son’s mtb (work in progress). I found a new old stock 1994ish Dawes Galaxy in my size which I’ve purchased with a view to building a bulletproof winter beater ...

Front and Rear Mudhugger
I have the following for sale, brand new and unused: - MK2 Rear Mudhugger, Size LARGE £34.99 RRP - FRX - Front Or Mini Rear Mudhugger £24.99 RRP Selling as the front one won’t clear a 3” tyre, despite claims on website. May be because of my krampus’ uncrown fork. The rear one will clear a 3” easily ...
