I've got the 3l crank tank and other than sounding a bit funny I've not noticed the sloshing causing any momentum issues, I've not ridden it off-road in anger yet though. It is an amazing piece of kit though especially (so far) for touring because you can use it around the campsite. I'll report back...

Old Shimano LX/DX are absolutely fantastic with BB7s and often cheap on eBay.

I don't know if they still exist, but at this time of year I borderline live in 1 of my 3 pairs of Humvee Lites. They're made of almost nothing, white and dry faster than anything else, if I find more I'll buy more - 100% recommend.

The missus and I recently got one of these to take (mostly) touring and while not the lightest (1.4kg with 2 of Stu's carbon poles) it's absolutely palacial and perfect for 2 to live out of. I've been running either 1 or 2 Alpkit Bosons on my bars (both bought on sale for <£25 each) and an Alpkit quark on my helmet.
