I was concerned with access from the SW corner, which isn't a right of way, but plenty of people seem to have used it

Re: Route Info Wanted: Doethie Valley Singletrack
Doing more research I think it was always a bit of a 'Marmite' trail anyway, and seems to have suffered from over-use in the last decade or so.
Strava heatmap seems to indicate that there are no access issues through Bryn Arau Duon / Cefn Gwenffrwd forest, so that's something…

Re: GPS computer recommendations?
For those who do use a phone for this purpose, what apps are recommended? I've used BCN, but quite new to Komoot and AllTrails. Komoot is my app of choice. I bought the full world map coverage a couple of years ago, and its largely been flawless. Routing in the UK is sometimes a bit dodgy as it doe...

Route Info Wanted: Doethie Valley Singletrack
I've been wanting to ride the Doethie valley singletrack for a while now, and just came up with the following route https://www.gpsies.com/map.do?fileId=wtixzhtapvefgxoj My main concern is the tracks through the Bryn Arau Duon / Cefn Gwenffrwd forest - can anyone comment on any access issues they've...

Re: The 2nd Torino-Nice Rally
Also, if you're heading down the Roya valley, just after the point where the route heads west up towards Col Turini, there's a lovely little bathing pool to cool off in, with some spectacular limestone formations upstream: https://goo.gl/maps/yRjentC1Vht

Re: Orange lines on Open Cycle Map
Thanks. I was aware that the data is openly editable but I didn't realise you could do that. It makes it an even more useful resource. I think you have to create a relation with one of the above tags and attach the ways to that. I'm not sure if it will work if just the ways themselves are tagged. I...

Re: PF30 Bottom bracket conversion
I wondered the same which I was considering buying a PF30 bike from a friend. Didn't come up with a definitive answer, but one thing which might be restrictive is the depth of the threads in the adapter, i.e. do the threads go far enough in to take a non-outboard BB?

Re: Orange lines on Open Cycle Map
It appears to be used to mark ways which are attached to routes which have an mtb:type flag or a tagged route=mtb, i.e. are designated as mountain bike routes. Here's a good example in France: http://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/6047968 Solid blue, purple and red lines appear to be routes which ar...

Please let me / us know. If the breathability is at least 'good' then that looks like a right bargain.

Re: Waterproof jacket options
If you're buying paramo, consider the lightest weight version they do. It's easier to layer up underneath if you're feeling the chill I know Paramo doesn't claim to be fully waterproof, but what will the 'top layer only' jackets withstand in the way of rain? And if you get really soaked, what do yo...

Something like this might help, it's effectively a BB with a built in 'adapter' to hold the bearings: https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Wheels-Manufac ... 106932.htm

Indeed, if it's legal and you can stick the route on GPSies or some other 'open' track repository, that would be most excellent.
