Is it just me, or are the images too big to see in full?

It looks identical to the Wildcat bag.

No - it's quite different: the Wildcat http://www.wildcatgear.co.uk/shop/handl ... s/tom-cat/ is designed to sit on top of a bar bag beneath the loop bars; the Alpkit is much deeper and any bar bag has to sit further forward https://www.alpkit.com/products/drop-bear

I hadn't looked on the Alpkit site, it make sense now.

If you've got a front harness will it push the bag into the head tube? Just a question, I won't be buying one, I've got some Jones loop bars but am a bit unsure if I like them.

More like the BarFly Banana Hammock or the Revelate Jones bag then.

4L sounds like a more useful amount of space than most 'on-the-fly' bags at a similar weight. Any practical issues with it - access whilst riding, snagging with bar roll, etc? Seriously considering this for my Jones bars on the touring plus bike where I need to maximise capacity.

Also, how do you find those fork bags?

Can't see those pics at all, they're huge!

The Wildcat bag (which I have) seems useful as it doesn't drop below the bars. The Alpkit one seems to do that so might get in the way of certain harnesses

The main downside to the loop bar bags is that you can't move your hands to that space, which sort of defeats the purpose of the multiple hand positions on jones loops

If you click on the pic, you can view them on Flickr at the right size ?
The Salsa Anything bags for the forks are great, very waterproof and tough.

The problem is people uploading or linking to the photos as they come out of the camera - these can be huge both in dimension and in file size. Using a program to resize them to something like 800x600px and saving them for the web before uploading/linking means that rather than having to download and display five 10Mb images it's now a case of five 80Kb images.

I don't get it. Surely the reason for fitting a loop bar is to give extra hand positions which are then made redundant by these bags, :???: .

That's right Bob and the reason why the forum is limuted to 1 attachment per post and has a 1Mb limit on pictures.

I've the Wildcat Tomcat - you can use the position at the joint at either side of the loop, using the front of the loop is a little trickier and depends on just what you've got attached. With a full complement of bags fitted then you are limited to putting the heels of your hands on the bar.

Indeed, which was by design as I like that riding position with my thumbs tucked inside the Loop.

The Alpkit bag doesn't look like it would play nicely with most harnesses, unless you mount it off the front loop, but that causes issues in itself.

4 litre capacity could be a mixed blessing - fill it and you'll have trouble finding stuff on the move, or part fill it and it all rattles about :???:

Looks good to me. I think multiple hand positions is one reason for a loop type bar, but extra space for lights to shine over your front roll bag rather than half into it and keeping the front roll bag from pressing on the brake cables are also to be considered. It looks to be a useful addition when needing extra space for bigger items that might not fit in a fuel pod.

Hi guys sorry about the size of the pics came straight off my memory card! The Jones bars I,ve hardly ever changed had positions so not a big problem for me I just like the feel of the swept back feel.
I think the bag will be quite useful for me as i don't like carrying a pack so any room on the bike is a plus for me
