I'm up there for a week, week after next, for work (HP place near Erskine Bridge). The nice hotel can only accomdate me on the Monday and Wednesday nights and the alternative is a Travelodge, so.... I thought I'd take the bike, and the gear and head out on Tuesday night and Thursday night for a bit of a wild camp.

Nearest bit of anything interesting is the Kilpatrick hills on the other side of the Clyde, but seeing as I'll have all evening, longest days of the year and am up in Scotlandshire only once in awile I don't mind hopping into the car and maybe driving for an hour, and I'm only half an hour from Loch Lomond.

Any suggestions?

Can't help you with the riding, but the view from the HP cafe at Erskine is quite impressive 8-)
