Scientific nobbing about this afternoon reveals that not only is it very fast but it's also very efficient ... but sadly not pretty. I promise the next one will be much less industrial looking.
Two things to note here ^^^ firstly a nice blue flame with no yellow tips and secondly, an even flame pattern around the base of the pot, so no 'hot spots' and seemingly a faster boil time.
Just for the nerd element ... first 'test' resulted in 450ml of tap water brought to a rolling boil (just) on 15ml of meths in 5m 26s. That is all, as you were.
That does look pretty impressive. How does the flame cope with a breeze? I presume the 2 sections are sealed together to prevent fuel loss around the bolt?

It needs a windshield outdoors but the effects of a breeze don't seem to be any worse than they would be with most meths stoves.
Little bit of resin around the bolt holes and use a countersunk bolt so the bottom of the stove remains flat.
The hardest part was working out the correct relationship between the diameter of the outer and inner and the required height difference between the two. Too little or too much of either and it doesn't work well.
