Bodge your own gear - had a set of carbon road TT bars hanging around in the garage and have bodged them to my mtb as a bag support. Surprisingly good at supporting the bag and easy to fit. Can't bring myself to shorten them as I will use them on the road bike again but as a temporary bodge, they're not bad if a little ridiculous looking. I did remove the wing sections but the wing bracket makes it easy to laterally slide the dry bag on and off.

I have done something very similar but with bar ends. I was worried that I cannot see the front wheel, but the reality was that once I got on the trails I didnt notice it. You might have more luck securing it under the bars.



and here is the bike loaded with stuff for a ride. The rear pack is a little large but I has a 3 season sleeping bag and paramo coat in it.

I like the mini-BBQ best. But don't your "bits" get hot

I wondered if anyone would comment about that. Its made of Ti and weights about 300 grams, bbq fork and tongs inculded. Balls are ok, steak can be overdone if not careful

That's a crazy angle you've got your brake levers set at - almost straight down!

Is that because of the bar bag or just your usual set-up?

BBQ! I thought it was a coal powered boiler for steam locomotion .

Yes thats so that the bag does not rub against the brake levers. It was very wierd to start with but now it is fine. The irritating bit is the angle of the gear shifters. Having said that the benifits of having a good weight distribution is worth it.
