2 Day ride through the Peak
Posted: Sun May 20, 2012 9:06 am
Family, work and study commitments meant I didn't get out much last year, so I resolved to get out more this year. Unfortunately my plans for April were scuppered by work, so this was the first opportunity I had to get out.
So to make the most of my time I decided to keep it local, I also like travelling by train as I think it adds to the adventure. So the plan was hatched to cycle through the Peak back home.
The forecast wasn't great and this combined with last minute packing meant i chucked in a few extra items "just in case" so I wasn't travelling as light as I would have liked. I also discovered I am not very good at setting up my tarp on my own, on uneven ground in the dark
All in all it was a great trip and although cold I dodged most of the hail storms :D
