Opinions - Exped Ultralite Synmat.

My POE AC 3/4 mat sprung a mystery leak after 12 months service. POE were very good and refunded me as the mat's no longer available. While looking through all the NeoAirs on-line I came across an Exped Ultralite 3/4 Synmat for £60 delivered, so bought it.

I could have bought a S NeoAir which is 170g lighter for around the same money but I figured the Exped will hopefully be a bit warmer (R3.1 for the Exped and R2.5 for the NeoAir). Anyone used one? Did I do right? Will my tiny world cave in?

I've not found my regular Neoair to be cold. Even on our winter bivi extravaganza at -35, or whatever it was. ;)

Got both the synmat and down versions, both have been used in ground temps exceeding anything you'll experience in the UK, great mats.

Not brave enough to try Klymit then? ;)

I did take another look as I found some fairly cheap, even went as far as searching out a few reviews but something about it just doesn't add up.

The Klymit is fine, just needs a leap of faith and a little ingenuity to make a good bed
