I'm in the lucky/obsessive position to have quite a few bivvy bags at my disposal ... everything from ultralite sub 200g up to 800g eVent with midge net. What's everyone else using? I imagine I'm going to hear Hunka (with good reason) quite a bit.

What's your bivvy of choice?

To be honest most bivvy's are restrictive and tight when you are 6'4", but I recently had a PHD Sleeping Bag cover made up, extra long and extra wide, perfect bivvy bag for what I intend to use a bivvy bag for, and under 200g. It's not waterproof, but is water resistant and wind proof, will work fine for my purposes.

Hunka for me but I'd like a Hunka XL as the Hunka is a tad small but as I bought the Hunka second hand I took a chance so I am after a Hunka XL if anyone can be seperated from their Hunka XL or fancy a swop for a standard Hunka???

Hunka here too, but would like to get something a bit lighter/ smaller like the Terra Nova Moonlight or the Rab equivalent.

Which ultralite 200g bivi do you have Stu, and how to you rate it?

Ian ... I picked up a moonlight for £50 last week. Haven't had chance to try it yet but it looks like it should do the job well enough.

I shall report back once I've given it a whirl.

At the moment they're £70 but keep checking in the sleeping bag and tent sections and every so often they drop the price to £50 for a day or two.

i use rab storm it is more of a emergency bivvy but I like it and have used it a a ground sheet, padding bag and lots of other things its so light & small packed down that i can carry it on a belt hope
I have consider changing it but every time I look at some thing else I get lost with bigger, better and then start dreaming about changing my whole kit!
plus I am going in to hammocks soon so I will save the extra cash for now.
