Can't see myself ever going for it. I have no issue cycling for 24 hours, but I'd hate to do it on a circuit.
Fair play to you though, that'll be incredibly hard.

Dude, the solos sell out within 1 minute, no exaggeration.
I missed the sign up again, probably for the best, I am not sure I really enjoy the circuit or the event for various reasons (bad time of year for fitness, too much mud, too many people, too technical for me, going round in a circle in decreasingly good trail conditions debatable as to how much fun).

Not sure I'll enjoy a circuit or that circuit either, but been following it for years so have to have a shot!
I was waiting ready to enter as soon as pc said 10pm. Apparently solos went on 30secs last year, but maybe that's just a ploy to entrap daft sods like me.
Oh well, 2 weeks on Norway and then my mate has an evil plan to prepare me
Top tips from Tom more than welcome

I used to feel the same, but now I can understand the lure of this infamous event. However, I am not willing to trash an entire bike for the sake of 1 days riding, having almost done this over 12 hours at the old Kielder 100.

I've heard that the banter is first rate but seeing photos like this and knowing you've got 24 hrs of this over a wee circuit, mainly in the dark, doesn't really float my boat (or fat bike). If there was guaranteed low temps and a massive fall of snow however...
